Become a Safe Kids Greater Sacramento Leader!

Executive Board Nominations – We are now accepting nominations for our 2014-2016 Executive Board term.  Please see the attached nomination form and scroll down to the second page to see the current list of nominees.  As you can see we have several positions without nominees including Training and Education Director and Philanthropy Director.  You are welcome to nominate a fellow coalition member or even submit a self-nomination.  Voting will take place at our July 8, 2014 meeting and the new board term will begin with our September 9, 2014 meeting.

Revision of Bylaws – Our current coalition bylaws were approved in 2009.  Your Executive Board has requested updates to the bylaws.  This is your one-month notice to provide comments on these proposed updates with a deadline of June 22, 2014.  The revisions will be voted on by our board at our July 8, 2014 meeting.  The updates are minor, with changes made to update terminology from “Greater Sacramento SAFE KIDS” to “Safe Kids Greater Sacramento” in keeping with Safe Kids Worldwide terminology.  The meeting attendance requirement for board nominees and members has been reduced from 75% to 66% of our meetings each year due to our number of meetings each year being reduced from 12 to 6.  Please send me any revision suggestions you might have or let me know if you have any questions.  The old bylaws and proposed draft bylaws are attached.
